Managing Director – Main Partner
Sylvain Trottier has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. As an advisor and then a financial planner, he founded several financial services firms, including some for business people.
In 1994, he became a sales manager in savings and investment within the SFL network. In 2005, he was named senior associate director of the Iberville-Champlain centre. He supervises the organization's strategic development, helping his teams reach new heights.
His experience managing financial services firms helped him build a network of approximately 120 advisors who can get to the next level under Sylvain's leadership.
Operations Manager – Partner
Amélie Bédard is a financial planner with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She has over 20 years of experience in SME management and financial services. After working as an independent representative, she joined her financial centre's management team in 2013. Today, she oversees day-to-day operations and the organization's strategic development as part of the general management team. She's known for her organizational skills and loves taking part in the company's special projects.
Business Development Manager
Paul Roy has an executive MBA from the Université de Sherbrooke and over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has mainly worked at Desjardins Insurance, where he held various management positions in sales, marketing, business development. His extensive business development experience makes him a valuable asset to the financial centre's management team, which he joined in 2020.
Associate Director, Risk Management and Insurance Strategies
After earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from HEC Montréal, Mathieu Lachapelle gained over 20 years of experience in risk management and insurance strategies. Over the years, he developed his expertise in analyzing in-force products, evaluating companies' coverage needs and optimizing estate values for high-net-worth clients. Mathieu is well-respected among advisors and financial planners for his expertise in developing high-performance strategies. He was director of the MGA firm for SFL Wealth Management before joining the associate directors team in 2015.
Associate director, New Business, Insurance and Compliance
After completing university studies in administration, Alexandre Durand has worked in life and health insurance since 2001. He spent several years in the new business and contractual changes sector at Desjardins Insurance. There, he held various positions, including Managing Director under New Business and Contractual Changes in Individual Insurance, heading several teams for over 7 years.
In 2018, Alexandre joined the financial centre's management team. He's an expert in business processes and Desjardins's in-force business.
Associate Director – Investments and Compliance (Brossard)
Etienne Groulx started working in the financial services field in 2014. Prior to this, he held management positions in a number of food processing plants over the course of 15 years. With his experience in management and organizational processes, Etienne is a valuable asset in optimizing savings processes. Since 2019, Etienne has worked as the Associate Director – Investments and Compliance for our Brossard offices, where he's known for his ability to simplify complex processes and solve problems.
Associate Director – Investments and Compliance (Drummondville and Sherbrooke)
Steve Morin has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a finance focus from the Université de Moncton. He's been working in the SFL financial network since 2005. With many years of experience under his belt, he's an investments expert with a knack for comprehensive customer service. Etienne is known for his expertise in business savings practices and currently uses these skills to support advisors at his financial centre with business development initiatives and client strategies.
Administrative Coordinator (Brossard)
Manon Viens has nearly 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, 20 of which she spent in a large Canadian bank. She held a number of positions and made great progress in her career, going from assistant to the head of administration to administrative staff, then to account manager. She joined SFL Wealth Management in 2001 as Associate Director, Technology and Funds Compliance. Since 2010, she has been the Administration Coordinator for the Brossard offices and was very involved in the switch from Univeris to Dataphile. Known for her strong organization skills, Manon is a key resource for the administrative staff and the Financial Planning Director when it comes to fund transactions.
Administrative Coordinator (Drummondville and Sherbrooke)
Isabelle Labonté has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years and has called SFL Wealth Management home for 17 of them. She has a diploma in office administration and several training programs under her belt, becoming a master of her craft over the years. Having held many roles, Isabelle has gained insight into her field from different perspectives. She started as her financial centre's administrative assistant, later becoming and administrative assistant for advisors. She took up the position of administrative coordinator for the Drummondville and Sherbrooke offices 10 years ago.
Director of Tax Optimization and Financial Planning
Tristan holds a bachelor’s in business administration and has worked as an advisor since 2021. He’s also a licensed Financial Planner. Over the course of his professional journey, he explored the multiple aspects of financial planning for both individuals and corporations and elaborated different strategies for several clients.
Within our financial centre, he supports advisors with their use of our tax optimization tools as well as their financial planning cases with the network.
Communications and special projects advisor
With a combined bachelor's degree in marketing, human resources and administration, Naomie specializes in content creation and marketing project management.
Her marketing career began in the medical industry, where she played a key role in organizing national events and developing impactful sales materials. She later transitioned to the financial sector through her role at a Desjardins Credit Union branch, gaining valuable industry insights and broadening her professional scope. Today, Naomie leverages her diverse experience and refined marketing skills at SFL, where she drives advisor success by leading innovative campaigns and projects.
